The 1st Goal of Dalhousie Soccer is to provide an opportunity
for Players, Referees, and Coaches, to participate and enjoy community
soccer. Dalhousie Soccer is a community based soccer program providing an
opportunity for the youth of our community to play soccer. This sports
program is offered by the Dalhousie Community Association of Calgary,
Alberta, Canada. We offer a Community House League for U4 to U10 age groups
inclusive. Registration for the Outdoor House League Program, is held near the end of January or beginning of February each year. Please refer to our Calendar for important dates.
Outdoor House LeagueThe Dalhousie Soccer Outdoor House League Program is for U4, U6,
U8 and U10 age groups (i.e. U6 means less than six years of age as of
December 31st of the previous year). This program has all mixed boys and
girls teams. The H.L. soccer program runs every Tuesday and Thursday evening,
weather permitting, from mid April to the end of June each year. All games
are held on the fields surrounding the community centre. Teams are formed on
the basis of equality within each age group. The emphasis is on development
of soccer skills, team sportsmanship, and FUN. All teams are mixed boys and girls.
Registration for the program is held near the end of January or beginning of
February of each year. House League U4 SoccerThis program is an introduction to soccer for children three
years old as of December 31 of the previous year. Numerous parent volunteers
are required to help groups of players play games and have fun with a soccer
ball. All activities are held on our community fields, Thursday evenings
ONLY. Parents
are required to remain at the field to supervise their child. House League U6 SoccerThis program is an introduction to soccer for children four and
five years old as of December 31 of the previous year. The teams are mixed
boys and girls and are arranged in an attempt to make each team equal in
ability. Games are played with four children each side including the goalie,
giving each child opportunities to handle the ball. With smaller teams
(ideally 7 or 8 players to a team), numerous parent volunteers to coach teams
are required. All games are held on our community fields Tuesdays and
Thursdays evenings. Parents are required to remain at the field to supervise their
child. U6 Mini Soccer FestU6 Players are invited to participate in CMSA’s Annual Minifest.
Teams are formed from the players who choose to participate. House League U8 SoccerThis program is based on fun and a continuing emphasis on
building soccer skills for children six and seven years as of December 31 of
the previous year. The teams are mixed boys and girls and are arranged in an
attempt to make each team equal in ability. Games are played with four
children each side including the goalie, giving each child opportunities to
handle the ball. With smaller teams (ideally 7 or 8 players to a team),
numerous parent volunteers to coach teams are required. All games are held on
our community fields, Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings. U8 Mini Soccer FestU8 Players are invited to participate in CMSA’s Annual Minifest.

years old as of December 31 of the previous year. The teams are mixed boys
and girls and are arranged in an attempt to make each team equal in ability.
The games will be played with seven children a side and will have referees
controlling the game. Scores and team standings are not kept; the emphasis is
on fun and participation. All games are held on our community fields,
Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings. House League U10 players are not eligible to participate in CMSA’s U10 Minifest. |
